Cuxland is on trend

Tourism

Tourism is a central pillar of the region's economy. The tourist development of the region is supported by the AfW through a number of projects.

Shaping the future

The Cuxhaven Agency for Economic Development and Cuxland-Tourismus have assumed joint responsibility for the development and execution of a tourism strategy for presenting a brand for the district of Cuxhaven. The brand focus is determined in close collaboration with local partners.

The team at Cuxland-Tourismus is in charge of destination management and marketing and represents the interests of the region in cross regional organisations such as the North Sea Tourism Board (Tourismusverband Nordsee e.v.) TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen GmbH or the Elberadweg und Weser-Radweg cycle trails. They are also responsible for the coordination and rollout of tourist signposts along the cycle routes.

The team is available at all times to provide all kinds of support for tourist service providers in the Cuxland and is also able to assist on current market development projects. Cuxland-Tourismus is also a point of contact for businesses for classification of holiday apartments and houses of the German Tourism Board and for the quality initiatives "KinderFerienLand Niedersachsen" (ChildrenHolidayLand Lower Saxony) and "Reisen für Alle" (Travel for All).

For causes which specifically concern tourism for the city of Cuxhaven, the colleagues at Nordseeheilbad Cuxhaven GmbH are happy to help.

Exploring Cuxland

Clean air, green fields and long stretches of sandy beaches along with its excellent infrastructure make Cuxhaven and the so-called Cuxland (the area between the Weser and the Elbe) make for a particularly special place to call home. Live where others go on holiday. The combination of vast scenic expanses and close-knit provision of education, health, trade and business services, along with an extensive selection of leisure pursuits, is a testament to the region's diversity. Unique, innovative and inviting.
